Are the policy premiums payable monthly or as a one-time fee?
The respective policy premiums are one-time only payments regardless of how far in advance the Event Cancellation Policy is purchased (subject to the 24-month advance purchase limitation).

Will an Event Cancellation Policy provide coverage if the weather forces us to postpone or relocate our wedding?
Yes, an Event Cancellation Policy will provide coverage if the weather conditions are extreme enough to prevent the Bride and/or the Groom, their families, or the majority of their guests from attending the wedding or reception.

Will an Event Cancellation Policy provide coverage if military leave is withdrawn due to unexpected deployment?
Yes, an Event Cancellation Policy will provide coverage if the Bride or Groom is serving full-time active duty in the armed forces or police or fire departments and must postpone the wedding and/or reception due to a previously granted leave being withdrawn due to circumstances outside of their control (e.g., unforeseen deployment). Please note this coverage is not available for reservists unless they are on active duty alert and have authorized leave or those on part-time or inactive status.

How far in advance should I purchase my Event Cancellation Policy for my wedding to be covered?
You should purchase an Event Cancellation Policy as soon as you start to incur costs such as placing deposits with a venue, caterer, etc. However, an Event Cancellation Policy cannot be purchased later than 15 days before your wedding or earlier than 24 months prior to your wedding.

Are there deductibles applied under the Event Cancellation Policy and Special Event Liability Insurance Policy?
Yes, there is a nominal $25.00 deductible for each covered section under the Event Cancellation Policy and there is no deductible under the Special Event Liability Insurance Policy for general liability coverage, but there is a $1,000.00 deductible applicable to third-party property damage claims.
